Produced exclusively in 1877 numbered magnums, this limited edition of Riserva Ducale Oro is a natural evolution of the ORObyRUFFINO project, the creative platform where designers can express their personal interpretation of the concept of gold.
This first edition is dedicated to The Gold Fever artwork by Officine Saffi, a leading platform dedicated to the creative investigation of ceramic production.
The artwork presented at the Milano Design Week 2024 inspired the plate placed on the bottle, made of hand-crafted ceramic, painted with gold luster.

This marks the first release of a project in which, each year, one of the artworks from the ORObyRUFFINO collection will serve as inspiration for a limited edition of Riserva Ducale Oro.

In 1927, the inaugural Riserva Ducale vintage was crafted as a homage to the wine-loving Duke of Aosta. Two decades later, in 1947, Ruffino commemorated the exceptional vintage by introducing the inaugural Riserva Ducale Oro, heralding the concept of Gran Selezione ahead of its time. Its potential for decades of aging is matched only by its historical significance.

Aged for 36 months, Riserva Ducale Oro 2021 is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG that delights with its ethereal aromas, envelops with smooth tannins, and offers a silky, broad and persistent structure.

Gold nuggets are part of a dreamlike imagery that has accompanied man throughout history: from ancient Greece’s written accounts to the 19th-century gold fever, they have inspired artistic work and carried an imagery of purity and transcendence.
