A new chapter for Ruffino: the Winemaking Council
The Winemaking Council is a technical committee created by Ruffino with the purpose to provide strategic visions and clear directions for its most iconic wines. Comprising international experts in agronomy, sustainability, and oenology, the Ruffino Winemaking Council represents a significant progress in the recent journey undertaken by the company. This journey has included the acquisition of hectares of vineyards and land in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC on the Tuscan coast, as well as a comprehensive reorganization of the entire hospitality area within Tenuta Poggio Casciano on the outskirts of Florence. Internationally renowned oenologist Alberto Antonini, whose education spanned Bordeaux, Florence, and UC Davis, and Stefano Poni, an agronomist and professor of viticulture at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, who also serves as the director of the VENIT Master of Sustainable Viticulture, will leverage their extensive expertise to provide a strategic vision and a more unified direction for our iconic labels.
